Winona Fay Seikel

Winona Fay Morgan Seikel passed into eternity on November 27, 2024, at the age of 87 surrounded by her family and friends. Winona was born July 22,1937, in Shawnee, OK. She was the daughter of Kemp B. Harris and Gwendylon (Lambert) Harris. She is best remembered as a woman who had a zest for life, loved her family, enjoyed singing and socializing. She was a member of Central Church of Christ in Shawnee. Winona graduated from Shawnee High School in1955. She married Max A. Morgan on July 22, 1956, in her childhood home in Shawnee. They were married for almost 54 years and shared farm life together raising five children and working hard on the land. After battling Alzheimer’s for several years Max passed on Jan. 2, 2010. Throughout her life, Winona was a loving mother and generous with her time and talents. Sharing those talents when involved in church events, 4-H activities and Pottawatomie County Extension Homemakers Club programs. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, teaching the youth new skills and helping others of all ages. She always made sure a new person felt comfortable whether they were joining a church event or club activity. Winona married Robert (Bob) E. Seikel on December 4, 2012. They enjoyed traveling, laughing together and conversing with friends. Sadly, Bob passed on November 7, 2016.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her children and spouses, Janita and Timothy Luddeke, Maxanne and Troy Kline, Cheryl and Larry Richardson, Greg and Candy Morgan, Jonathan and Crystal Morganas well as her 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Paul Harris, Shawnee, OK, and Phil Harris, Yorktown, VA. A memorial will be held at Central Church of Christ in Shawnee on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be sent to Alzheimer's Association or Central Church of Christ, Shawnee, in honor of Winona.
