Wilma "Louise" Melot Welch

Wilma was born to Marion and Mabel Melot on the 6th day of December, 1933 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

She Married Troy Meek on the 13th day of January, 1952 whom she shared her four children with before his death. She met and married William “Bill” Farlow on the 23rd day of July, 1997. During their years together they enjoyed many adventures while traveling together before his passing in the spring of 2005. She met Kevin Welch whom she married on the 6th day of October, 2008 and enjoyed vacationing on the coast of Texas with every winter before his passing in the winter of 2016. On the 23rd of April, 2023 she married her long-time friend Thomas “tom” Kegin whom she shared her life, love of music, and games with until her peaceful passing on the 12th day of December, 2024.

Wilma was a woman of many talents. She owned a popular store in Edmond called Intimate Image Boutique for many years. Over the course of those years, she enjoyed presenting her customers with the best products she had to offer, and helping women find confidence in themselves. Later in life she began freelance writing. She co-wrote multiple books on RV traveling, poems and personal memoir about her early life. She loved spending time singing old gospel hymns while playing her piano and did so until her last days.

Louise is preceded in death by her parents Marion and Mabel Melot, brother Vernon, sister Sharon Fields, daughter Colleen Meek, husband Bill Farlow, and husband Kevin Welch.

Her memory is kept alive by husband Tom Kegin and his children Greg, Cheri and Glen; her sons Robin and Steven Meek; daughter Lorraine Clark; brothers Tommy, MX Jr, Jerry, Robert; sisters Roberta Wilson, Sue Morgan, Reba Wittenborn; as well as eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and a host of other family members.
