Patricia Jane Hubbard, aged 71, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Tuesday January 28th at 6:48 pm at home. She was born on January 30th, 1953, at Oklahoma Memorial Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Alexander Rufas Fixico and Edna Mae Harjo Fixico.
Patricia was one of three other siblings, James the oldest, then Patricia, followed by Stanley and then Kenneth. Because she was the only girl, she had to grow up, strong-minded and strong-willed yet still loving and caring.
As a child Patricia loved playing with her Barbies, and all the other kids on 4th street. She loved eating and picking blackberries and was known for her banana pudding, yum, yum. Playing basketball at home, Patricia sharpened up her skills to become a fierce warrior in high school. Patricia loved all sports, and there wasn’t a day that went by where she didn’t have a game on, sports nut just like her daddy, daddy's girl. The University of Oklahoma was her team, 100%, she was Sooner born, Sooner bred, Thunder Loud. Patricia loved cruising the main drags in Shawnee, Sonic, Brown Derby and Starlite Drive-in with all her girlfriends. She went on to graduate from McLoud High School.
Throughout her career, Patricia worked for Globe Life and later retired from Fleming Foods as a Beta processer in Oklahoma City. Her dedication and hard work were evident in her professional endeavors. When she retired, she loved planting flowers, working in the yard, nobody could work as hard in the hot summers days as she could picking weeds and stickers, ouch! She loved family, friends, and nature.
She married Tom Hubbard in 1988 residing in Oklahoma City for the past 14 years. Patricia is preceded in death by her mother Edna Mae Fixico, father Alexander Rufus Fixico, sister-in-law Judy Fixico, grandparents, aunts and uncles and one granddaughter, Kendra Teichman. Patricia leaves behind her son Brad Teichman, her grandson Isaiah Teichman, daughter Amanda, granddaughter Chloe, son Kyle Teichman, son T. J. Hubbard, grandsons Mayson Teichman, Blake Teichman, Nate Kilmer and great granddaughter Bryli Kilmer, and her beloved pet dog Max.
Patricia will be remembered fondly for her warm spirit, love for her family, and unwavering faith.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
