Jimmie Colleen King

Jimmie King, 94, of Choctaw, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024. She was born June 11, 1930, in Choctaw, OK. Jimmie was predeceased by her husband, Frank King and parents Max and Pauline Whisenant. 

Jimmie married Frank King on March 20, 1950, in Harrah. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by 2 sons, Steve King of Tulsa and Ralph King of Edmond and a daughter, Susan Stone of Choctaw; 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren as well as a sister, Kathryn Sandlin of Houston.

In high school, she was active in FHA, as a librarian, annual staff member, and cheerleader. As an adult, she enjoyed sewing, painting, calligraphy, camping, water skiing, golf, cooking and baking. She also enjoyed playing card and board games with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Services will be at 1:00 pm, November 12, 2024, at Hibbs Funeral Home Chapel in Choctaw. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery, Choctaw, OK.
