Carol Louise Cook was born on January 16, 1935, and passed away peacefully on Friday, January 3, 2025. She was just 13 days short of making it to her 90th birthday.
Carol was born in Jennings, Kansas to Joe and Leona Kaspar. She was the oldest of 6 children. She attended school in Jennings and after graduating high school she attended Kanas University and then graduated cumma sum laude from St. Mary’s in Dodge City, Kansas.
Carol had two children, Patrice Carper and Jon Cook. She had four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The first part of Carol’s working career she was a teacher in elementary education. After teaching for several years, she started a new career as a real estate agent in San Jose, California. When she first retired, she moved to Dewey, Arizona. Carol lived there for several years before eventually moving to Nicoma Park, Oklahoma. While living in Nicoma Park, Carol attended First Baptist Church of Nicoma Park. She enjoyed volunteering at We Care on Wednesdays at the church.
After living in Nicoma Park for seven years, she moved to Village on the Park in South Oklahoma City. She lived in the independent living area for 13 months. During that time, she battled through several hospital stays before eventually passing away peacefully.
Services for Carol will be held at a later date.
