"Butch" Toney

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Butch Toney, a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who peacefully left us on March 6th 2025 at the age of 81. Butch known to his family and friends as a loving and devoted patriarch, touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Butch was a dedicated father to four children, a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren, and a doting great-grandfather to 9 great-grandchildren. His legacy of love, wisdom, and unwavering support will live on in the hearts of his family.

Throughout his life, Butch was a man of integrity, kindness, and a quiet strength that provided comfort and guidance to his loved ones. His home was always open to those in need of support, and his generosity extended far beyond his immediate family. Butchs ability to make everyone feel valued and heard is something that will be sorely missed.

He enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, playing dominoes, and drinking coffee. His commitment to his family was unwavering, and he took great pride in seeing his children and grandchildren grow and thrive. Butch's joy was in the simple moments spent with his loved ones.

Butch was preceded in death by his wife June Toney, his mother Mamie Toney, and his father Sam Toney. He is survived by his four children, Debra, Larry, Melinda, and Willie, his 14 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him deeply.

A service to honor Butch's life will be held at South Side Holiness Church 545 SE 28th St. On March 11th at 11:00am.

Butch's memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family, and his spirit will continue to guide them through the years ahead.
